Changing The Download Location In Firefox

by Michelle

It might not sound important initially, I mean who cares where your downloads go to by default?

The problem is that if we are not forced to manage the situation at that exact point in time – chances are we will never find the time to go back and do it.  These little tweaks in our day to day routine can make all the difference to how efficiently we run our business and manage our time.

When downloading from the internet, if you don’t change your settings then the files will be saved in the ‘download’ directory by default and automatically at that. This means that if you don’t organise/reaarrange the files straight away, the downloads directory will get filled with files that are forgotten about.

By changing your Firefox (or any other browser, if applicable) settings to prompt you for a place to save, this will remind you to choose an appropriate place to store your download at that moment in time… a great help in organising yourself and your file system.

Here’s a quick video to show you how 🙂

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a friend who has been doing a little research on this. And he actually ordered me lunch simply because I stumbled upon it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending some time to talk about this topic here on your website.
