Email is the one of the most common forms of communication in business these days, internally within a business, from business to business and from business to consumer.

Therefore it makes perfect sense to use the opportunity for sharing and promoting various aspects of your business.

One way to think of your email signature is as a virtual business card, so it could include:

  • Name
  • Business Title
  • Business Name
  • Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Website/Blog Address*
  • Email Address
  • An Image/Logo

* Create these as hyperlinks – also known as clickable links, but be sure to use the full URL, so that email accounts that do not have HTML enabled can copy and paste the link.

Other useful links you could include in your signature are:

  • Social Media Links (i.e. Facebook or Twitter etc.)
  • Upcoming events or seminars (online or offline)
  • Special offers or new product announcements
Some items will be more relevant to your particular business than others, so choose carefully as it is best not to make the signature too big/long as this can be irritating for the recipient.
